Willamette Valley PDC 2008

I highly recommend The Willamette Valley Permaculture Design Course as a thorough introduction to this broad topic. Instructors Jude Hobbs and Tobias Policha bring to The Willamette Valley Permaculture Design Course the unique perspective of living their subject. Each is a wealth of information about permaculture, especially with regard to all things plants. The course covers an amazing breadth of material as required to certify students as permaculture design consultants. Course materials are presented in a format accessible to layperson and expert alike, with an easygoing pace and plenty of time for questions and follow-up discussion. Look no further if you want a great introduction to this timely topic. Nick N.

In winter 2008 I took the Willamette Valley Permaculture Design Certificate class taught by Jude Hobbs and others.

Jude is an excellent instructor, sensitive to different learning styles, and puts on a fun, interactive seminar. Jude's design approach and how she teaches it was an eye opener for me into how to get people working together and how to get folks off their heels and sinking their teeth into topics that might otherwise be a little intimidating, especially in groups with widely ranging levels of experience. I have Jude's teacher training on my list to get more of this group facilitation experience. The Willamette Valley PDC course taught me how to be a better listener and facilitator, both of which are super important in design and educational work.I can wholeheartedly endorse Jude's abilities as a teacher and designer and permaculture guru.

It was a good chance for me to learn what's going on in the Permaculture world on Turtle Island and it was a very rewarding experience. It opened my eyes to a new kind of whole and interactive Permaculture course, unlike the often rote learning that I remember from my PCDC. P.

I'm happy to see you're offering another teacher training. I think about something from our course every day and have been in touch with some of the folks sharing thoughts and lessons  Nyree
